The Digital Communications Manager is a key member of the Marketing and Communications team and is responsible for helping attract and engage prospects, alumni, parents and friends of Chadwick School to meet and maintain enrollment and development goals. The Digital Communications Manager is the digital voice for the school, implementing communications strategy and content for the website, social media channels, blog content and mobile technology.  Serves as a liaison with the Offices of Development and Admission, faculty and staff members, and reports to the Director of Communications.

Major Responsibilities:

The Digital Communications Manager is responsible for the following activities, as well as other duties as assigned.

Digital Communications

  • Responsible for managing digital initiatives to support Chadwick School, primarily focused on the website and social media.

  • Develop, manage and proactively maintain website content, with responsibility for master schedule, optimization and analytics.

  • Create, manage and grow the Chadwick School presence across social media channels, including, but not limited to: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat and other channels.

  • Use SEO best practices to optimize website, social media and other content to generate school exposure, engagement and enrollment actions.

  • Establish organizational plan and process for keeping digital content current and accurate.

  • Research new technologies and/or industry trends and make recommendations.

Admissions Communications

  • Develop search engine marketing campaign for generating online admissions leads.

  • Manages and maintains all Admission website content, including content for newly admitted students.

Digital Marketing:

  • Defines and executes PPC strategy for Chadwick; day-to-day management and execution of SEM campaigns.

  • Develops digital ads and implements A/B and multivariate testing.

  • Identifies and tracks key program/campaign metrics, and provides analysis to demonstrate goal achievement and areas of optimization.

  • Responsibility for planning, purchasing and bid management of online paid advertising programs.

  • Oversees the creation and delivery of social creative assets and copy as needed.

  • Audits Admission microsite; designs and implements customized solutions and technical tag implementation strategies through Google Tag Manager.

  • Basic coding knowledge and web content management through CMS.

Analytics

  • Understands and implements best practices in online search.

  • Monitors web and social media analytics on a monthly basis and provides recommendations for optimization

  • Works to ensure Chadwick quality standards and brand guidelines are followed in all communications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Five to eight years of demonstrated experience in digital, mobile and social media content development and management.

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field.

  • Dynamic, self-motivated, creative leader and collaborator with excellent digital communications skills and interpersonal skills.

  • Adept at communicating via social media platforms, including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedIn.

  • Proficiency in Google Analytics and SEO best practices.

  • Experience working within a content management system.

  • Fluency in data reporting / interpretation / forecasting using website and social media analytics.

  • Must be a team player who is highly motivated and aligned with the mission and values of Chadwick School and 21st century education.

  • Excellent command of English language (both spoken and written), and expertise writing and editing copy with clarity, brevity and creativity.

  • Excellent attention to detail and resourcefulness, proven flexibility, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal and collaborative skills.

  • Strong interviewing, writing and proofreading skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of AP Style.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Mac environment.

  • Talented storyteller.

  • Works well both autonomously and as an effective team member.

  • Comfortable managing numerous projects in a deadline-oriented environment.

  • Preferred Experience:

    • Certification in Google AdWords and proficiency in SEM and SEO best practices, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

    • Managing digital ad and paid social campaigns

    • Project management skills
