Instructional Technology Specialist

Qualifications:

Knowledge and expertise teaching technology at the elementary level

3-5 years minimum of recent elementary level teaching experience in this field

Experience with elementary level coding/programming and robotics preferred

Knowledge of databases and learning management systems

Strong interpersonal skills for department, colleague, and parent communication

Strong written and oral skills

Master’s preferred

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
Responsibilities:
-
Teach regular technology classes to grades 1 and 2 and support technology development in pre-k and kindergarten

Co-plan teacher/staff training and presentations
-
Work collaboratively with co-teacher to oversee the department

Collaborate with teachers to implement technology into existing or new curriculum; keep teachers abreast of new applications of interest

Assist staff, students, committees, presenters with audiovisual equipment, software or minor hardware problems as needed

Oversee technology subscriptions and provide technology support with Director of Technology
