Job Description |
The Associate Director of Administration and Technical Services for the Division of Campus Safety and Emergency Services (DCSES) directs and oversees a variety of departmental and campus-wide enterprise security technologies utilized by the Department of Public Safety / Fire and Life Safety Services; Emergency Management; Global Safety Support Services; Parking and Transit Services; Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance; and Environmental Health and Safety Services departments. The position provides strong project management leadership in assessing, budgeting, coordinating, reporting, reviewing and communicating with all stakeholders. Projects include, but are not limited to, security technologies, administrative systems, computer aided dispatching systems, electronic access control integration, and a robust campus-wide video security systems (VSS). The position oversees the DCSES Video, Access Security Technology Team (VASTT) by leading, mentoring and supervising its professional technical staff, part-time and/or student employees and collaborates with external vendors to meet the goals and objectives of the division and University. This position serves as part of the division’s administration and as such, performs a variety of administrative functions, including performing duties associated with the Director of Administration role during the incumbent’s absence or as directed. The positions ensures systematic management of supplies and equipment; documents procedures and protocols; generates proposals and makes recommendations based on customer needs. |

Qualifications |
Bachelor’s degree required. Management information technology / computer science, with strong administrative and project management skills preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role preferred. |

A high degree of customer service skills with technical knowledge and a working background with the latest technology is necessary to understand and manage projects related to security cameras, mobile technologies, databases, electronics, computing, networking and communications systems. |
