Project Coordinator I or II (Technology Training and Development Expert) Under the supervision of the Dean of Library, Educational Technology, and Learning Support this position supports and promotes the development of high-quality online learning at DVC. This position will expand student access and success in online learning with a particular emphasis on promoting strategies necessary for the success, persistence, and retention of first-generation, low-income, and minority students from an underserved background. Hourly rate will be based on experience.

Supports faculty in the use of technology, development of curriculum for online/hybrid courses, and teaching skills in an online environment.

Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience |
Two (2) years in an environment similar to that of this position, with experience in utilizing most of the systems described. Two (2) years of online teaching in an academic discipline. Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or the equivalent.

Experience teaching online at a community college or 4-year university.

Contra Costa College Contra Costa College (CCC) is the oldest and most diverse of the three colleges in the Contra Costa Community College District. A proud Hispanic Serving Institution, serving predominantly Latinx, African American and Asian students, CCC is situated in a socioeconomically diverse, resilient and culturally vibrant community. The college is located on 83 acres of a beautiful, naturally landscaped site accentuated by Wildcat Creek running through the rolling hills of San Pablo and Richmond. Since opening in 1949, CCC has provided exemplary educational services as the only institution of higher education in the West County area. CCC serves over 7,000 students each year, with superior faculty and staff dedicated to creating a premier learning environment. Both CCC and the District take great pride in their effective participatory governance structures and processes. The campus has a new college center that opened in the fall of 2016. Students now enjoy a new activities building that houses all student functions, a bookstore, and a new facility for the culinary arts program that contains a dining center. The campus center also includes a new classroom building and a community hall, and there are new campus administration spaces as well. The Culinary Arts Program has also become one of the signature, job-training programs on campus. The program operates the elegant Aqua Terra Restaurant and hosts an annual Food and Wine fundraising event that has enabled CCC students to travel to Italy, China and France to study with notable chefs.

Employee Benefits: |
Insurance: The District offers health, vision, dental and life insurance for monthly classified employees and managers/supervisors and their eligible dependents. Monthly classified employees and managers/supervisors covered by another health medical plan may waive District coverage and receive a monthly cash stipend.
Retirement: Most employees are members of the PERS (Public Employees Retirement System). Faculty employees and Academic Managers are members of the STRS (State Teachers Retirement System). Police Service employers are members of Safety Public Employees Retirement System.
Deferred Compensation: The District offers two optional deferred compensation plans. Eligible employees have a choice of the 457, 403b plans and a selection of savings and investment options.
Leave Allowance: The District offers monthly eligible classified employees and managers/supervisors a generous vacation and sick leave benefits as well as 20 paid holidays annually (which can vary based on length of winter break).
Additional Benefits: The District also offers monthly eligible classified employees and managers/supervisors educational reimbursements, employee assistance programs, a travel assistance plan, longevity compensation, retiree benefits, employee discounts on health memberships and a comprehensive wellness program.
Agency Shop: Local One Classified positions are within a collective bargaining unit. Local One employees are required to join the union or pay an equivalent service fee. This is a one-time initiation fee of $45.00 and monthly contributions of 1% of gross pay + $1. The United Faculty positions are also within a collective bargaining unit. United Faculty employees are required to join the union or pay an equivalent service fee. The monthly contribution is an agency fee of .55 % of gross pay + $2.50.
