Description

Professional Children's School is a coed, college-preparatory institution serving students in grades 6-12. Located in New York City, the school's mission is to provide an academic program for students who are professional or pre-professional in the arts and athletics. We are hiring a Technology Support Specialist to perform the following responsibilities and who meets the following qualifications. This position can be filled by either a junior or senior admin. Responsibilities and compensation will be commensurate with experience and skill set.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of Technology and Technology Integration Support Specialist to achieve and set the goals of the Technology Department.

  • Support the health and operations of school-wide systems including web interfaces, servers, phone, security cameras, attendance system, faculty and staff workstations, printers and copy machines.

  • Provide technology support for all members of the school community including faculty, staff and students.

  • Perform other duties as necessary and assigned by the Director of Technology.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, or experience demonstrating a technology support skill set.

  • Working knowledge of technology infrastructure operations and support.

  • Proficiency with the complete Mac and Windows suites of devices, operating systems, and installed software and how the hardware components and software components work together.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to effectively explain ideas in writing and orally.

  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with other faculty, staff, students and parents.
