To be responsible for providing communications support for the school under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications and providing administrative support in the school office as directed by the School Secretary

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Communications Coordination:

  • Photograph and capture school events to populate social media and the RHA Weekly newsletter

  • Coordinate collection of material for RHA Weekly, editing and placing content into RHA Weekly

  • Provide support on social media channels (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter), posting events and photos

  • Assist with production of school flyers, LCD panel advertisements, and other creative assets

  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors and advertisers to, coordinate advertising placements

Administrative Assistant:

Working under general supervision, responsible for a variety of clerical duties, including but not limited to:

  • Act as a front line ambassador to students, parents and visitors 

  • General office duties as requested by School Secretary

  • Recording attendance and updating lists for aftercare/after school activities as needed

  • Directs students and parents visiting the office to the appropriate person or action

  • Professionally greet, screen and forward inbound calls

  • Sort, check and distribute incoming mail, and prepare and post outgoing mail

  • Arrange for courier services 

 

SKILLS:

Computer

  • Working knowledge of Google Suite and MS Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Experience with social media, blog production and website content management an asset

  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat Pro an asset

Language

  • Excellent command of the English language (written, oral and reading comprehension) with proven writing and editing abilities

  • Hebrew an asset 

Office Administration

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with a helpful, collaborative 

  • work ethic

  • Experience in an administrative position with front-line interpersonal skills and service orientation to parents, other staff 

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize at busy times

  • Professional appearance and conduct
