Network Manager

The successful candidate will be required to manage the IT infrastructure and network of the School, and provide the necessary day-to-day support. The goal of the network manager is to create and sustain a well-functioning, reliable network to ensure the seamless, effective operation of the school’s core business.

Required education and experience:

• Proven experience as network manager or relevant position

• Recognised qualifications in the IT arena equivalent to, or higher than, the following:

  • CompTIA Server+ or MCSA Server 2012/2016

  • CompTIA Network+ or CCNA Routing and Switching

  • CompTIA Security+

• Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies

• Additional technical competencies would include: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, G-Suite, Microsoft Exchange 2010, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, Veeam Backup and Replication, Hyper-V, Cyberoam/Sophos or Fortigate Firewalls

• An analytical mindset with outstanding diagnostic and problem-solving skills will be essential for effective troubleshooting and improving the network

• Good understanding and application of school, and other software programmes.
