Notre Dame Academy seeks a part-time (up to 20 hours per week), first-tier IT Support staff member who enjoys problem solving and troubleshooting while being part of a thriving school environment. The successful candidate will support all school-owned devices and software and be the first point of contact in assisting students, faculty, staff and administration. NDA is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) school for students; all faculty and staff have school-owned devices. This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Supervise and support students in open computer lab

First point of IT support for faculty, staff and students. Escalate issues as needed to other IT staff.

Support use of all copiers/telephones/fax machines by students, faculty & staff.

Manage printers and printer supplies. General knowledge of printer networking preferred.

Manage and track NDA inventory, updates, distribution, and re-allocation of devices (spare laptops, iPads)

Basic Smartboard and projector classroom support

School-wide event setups

Support tools used by students to print to networked copiers from their own devices (currently using PaperCut).

Update or install custom software on laptops for use in classrooms – Computer Programming, Math, Art, etc.

Work with and/or assist IT team members, Web and Database Manager, Technology Integrationist, Chief Technology Officer on additional projects as needed.
Skills:

Experience or equivalent training in an IT support environment

Experience using Windows 10 (preferred) and iOS (iPads) platforms

Proficient at problem solving, an understanding of basic software and hardware troubleshooting

Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to multitask

Ability to display appropriate discretion and confidentiality

Aptitude for learning new and emerging elements of IT

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with IT staff members, students, faculty/staff, and administration.
