Job Essential Function 1
Percent of Time: 55%

  • Computing Technical Support

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot all business critical software. Install, configure, and maintain all hardware specific to our business critical software.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot routine software.   

  • Install, configure, and maintain all computer-related hardware including: workstations, peripherals, printers, and servers.

  • Assist users in the usage of business critical software and routine applications.

  • Assist users with procedural or technical problems.

  • Evaluate staff computing needs and advise suggestions and training for efficient use of available technology. 

  • Maintain inventory of computers and installed software.

  • Assist users with the usage of the audio/visual equipment in the rooms containing such equipment.

  • Digital Signage system periodic updates and hardware maintenance.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot all hardware and printing equipment for the digital T-Shirt printing system.

 
Job Essential Function 2
Percent of Time: 25%

  • Server Administration

  • Assist in maintaining general functions of web and database servers.  

  • Maintain and utilize Windows Hyper-v, virtual machines, failover clustering, Storage Area Network (SAN), and all supporting physical hardware.

  • Install, maintain, configure and troubleshoot Windows services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, WSUS, Printing, File Sharing, IIS, Office 365, Deployment services, and Remote access (VPN).

  • Responsible for server backups.

  • Install, configure and maintain anti-virus and firewalls, patch as necessary.

  • Ability to implement networking concepts such as DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Routing, and Switching in a network environment.

  • Assist in maintaining general functions of the primary content server and channel players for the digital signage system.

 
Job Essential Function 3
Percent of Time: 10%

  • F45 

  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot all F45 equipment.

  • Be the main point of contact for F45 Tech Support.

Job Essential Function 4
Percent of Time: 10%

  • Web and Other Duties as assigned.

  • Assist with Campus Recreation webmaster with web maintenance including content, graphics, and some coding.

  • Assist with the exporting and saving of Campus Recreation videos.

  • Be aware of emerging viruses and security threats. Have the ability to react to potential threats.

  • Evaluate staff computing needs based on current trends.

 
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
 
Required:

  • Proficiency in the installation, configuration & troubleshooting of computer hardware, routine software, and networking for windows.         

  • Working knowledge of group policy and Active Directory for Windows Server.

  • Working knowledge of computer security concepts and practices.

  • Working knowledge of web and database server best practices.

  • Working knowledge of Windows Hyper-v, virtual machines, failover clustering, Storage Area Network (SAN), and all supporting physical hardware.

  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, topologies and protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet) and their implementation in a PC networked environment using TCP/IP.

  • Advanced computer application experience including a thorough practical background in the utilization of word processing, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, & graphics.

  • Working knowledge of HTML and its authoring tools, graphic software, internet browsers, and scripting languages for web page maintenance.

  • Ability to work in a strong service-oriented environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in all tasks in a professional manner.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
