Advancement / Communications Assistant
This is a split, full-time position, reporting both to the Director of Advancement and Director of Communications
As a member of the Advancement Office, the successful candidate is responsible for Raiser’s Edge (RE); utilization and maintenance; must exhibit great flexibility in order to perform widely varying tasks on a day-to-day basis; must demonstrate maturity and professionalism.
Advancement responsibilities:

Maintain database to ensure database accuracy (data entry)

Donation recording, receipting and thank you issuance (from RE)

Coordination with Business Office for reports, auditing and accuracy verification

Provide financial and constituency queries and reports (from RE)

Responsible for Alumni House guest bookings; coordination of Housekeeping

Provide hands-on assistance during alumni events on campus/local: Golf Tournament, Homecoming, Graduation Dinner, Baccalaureate, Memories.
As a member of the Communications Office, the successful candidate assists in fulfilling a broad range of communications needs, with emphasis on the school’s daily web and social media presence.
Communications responsibilities:

Update web content (schedules, calendars, etc.) using Blackbaud OnMessage

Generate daily social media content on multiple platforms, including photo and video

Grow social media reach across existing and emerging platforms

In conjunction with the Director of Communications, oversee and analyze strategies for social marketing/optimization

Provide support to Advancement, Admissions, Athletics and other school departments as required
