Immaculata University is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Technical Services. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the ideal candidate will be hands- on, possessing current technical knowledge and skills in the areas of networking (switching & routing) in a Cisco environment and systems administration in a Microsoft server environment using Hyper V and Exchange 2016, as well as demonstrated personnel management and budgeting skills, the ability to work and participate in a team environment, and strong communication and customer service skills. The Director will utilize experience in higher education and an understanding of the university's issues and concerns to closely manage the delivery of quality information technology services in the areas of systems, network, telecommunications, data center, voice, and multi-media services. The responsibilities of the Director include but not limited to:  ensuring that the university's technology environment is synchronized with its mission and goals; serving as the primary decision-maker in ensuring that the university's technology standards will be able to support administrative and academic functions; ensuring that all telecommunications, multi-media, and technology across the university is designed and functioning for optimal workforce productivity; leading the activities of the Technical Services staff through planning and implementation of enterprise servers, network architectures (LAN and WAN), telecommunication services, system backup, desktop, helpdesk, and multi-media planning and support.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Five or more years progressive managerial experience in information technology 

  • Extensive knowledge of Cisco Switching and Routing including VLAN, VTP, and STP, HSRP

  • Cisco Nexus 3K & 5K switches leveraging HSRP

  • Experience with Cisco ACS

  • Extensive knowledge of DNS, LDAP, DHCP and Active Directory

  • Working knowledge of current Microsoft Operation Systems

  • MAC Operating Systems including imaging and management using Profile Manager

  • Shoretel VOIP Phones Systems

  • Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V 2016 & Clustering technologies

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2016

  • Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM

  • Experience with Cisco Wireless Controllers and Access Points

  • Extensive knowledge of projection and sound systems

  • Ability to work and participate in a team environment

  • Demonstrated personnel management and budgeting skills

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree

  • Experience in higher education

  • PMP certification

  • ITIL v3 certification

  • Microsoft MCSE Certification

  • Cisco CCNA
