Position Description

The Technology Development Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical assistance for the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center through the daily operation of the Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse: Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania Online Training helpdesk via email and telephone support, end-user data entry error management, reports processing, secure file transfers, and technology liaison duties.

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Science, or closely related field required. Excellent interpersonal, writing, collaboration, leadership, communication, organizational, and computer skills required. Must have competency in Management Information Systems Development.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred in the following: technology helpdesk support, hardware and software configuration and maintenance, Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office, and productivity software.

Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, Project, Skype, and Cisco WebEx is preferred.

Strong analytical, problem solving, and collaboration skills are a must. Exposure to Microsoft SharePoint and Project is preferred but not required. Experience in a Windows environment. Excellent attention to detail.

Must have excellent skills in facilitating interaction/communications of the Resource Center/University with numerous other large organizations, including universities, counties, and state government. Tasks are complex with some standardization.

Note: This position is located in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Must be able to travel distances. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.

PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment.
