The purpose of this class is to provide high level technical support for ongoing projects within the Information Technology department and second level support to the Help Desk.
 
 Minimum Requirements:
Associate's Degree and five (5) years technology support experience or Bachelor's Degree and two (3) years of identical experience. One (1) year of the required experience must include experience configuring and installing software on MAC, PC or Android devices. Three (3) technical certifications within domain required.
 
 Class Specific Essential Duties:
  1. Collect software, classroom, lab, audio visual, and system technology configuration requirements from college departments, faculty and staff

  2. Design software, classroom, lab, audio visual, and system technology configurations that meet constituent requirements and specifications

  3. Test, troubleshoot and de-conflict software classroom, lab, audio visual, and system technology configurations and images

  4. Schedule, package, deploy, and install software, classroom, lab, audio visual, and system technology configurations and system images using enterprise class technology configuration tools such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Absolute Mobile Device Manger, Crestron panel manager, and other system configuration tools used by the college

  5. Administer enterprise class technology configuration management tools, media encoding tools, video conference bridge, and solutions

  6. Train and mentor Tier I technology support analysts

  7. Document system configurations, develop help guides and serve as subject matter expert for systems and their configurations

 Position Specific Essential Duties:
  1. Provide Tier II technical support for escalated technical problems and challenges

  2. Provide basic network administration (AD, Windows Server, MacOS Server, etc.)  and support using network support utilities

  3. Administer group policies, access control lists, and directory services for (AD, Windows Server, MacOS Server, etc.)

  4. Administer software and solution licenses and inventory

  5. Monitor and maintain technology solution security systems and packages to provide up-to-date system protection

  6. Create and maintain desktop and application virtualization images
