Senior Manager, Security Operations
The Senior Manager of Security Operations will be responsible to lead the defense of University data assets by identifying operational and security threats, collaborate with the University community and develop plans that manage risk to acceptable levels. He/She will identify and implement best practices for operational metrics, key security controls, incident response and vulnerability management. They will ultimately drive University goals through effective management of an operations team and managed partners. GSEC or CISSP certification strongly preferred.

Master of Science in Computer Science, Risk Management or Technology Management
Required Experience:
3-5 years progressively responsible experience in enterprise information security operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Incident response and security consulting experience. Familiarity with some or all of the following common classes of security technology in a large, complex environment: Next Generation Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, Anti-Virus management, vulnerability assessment scanning, forensic procedures and anti-spam/anti phish email security technology. Minimum 3 years experience in a technology leadership role.
Preferred Experience:
Risk management. Systems or network management. Experience working in a large, diver higher education environment. Familiarity with security compliance requirements, such as FERPA, HIPAA, GDPR, and Gramm-Leach-Bliley. Experience drafting and reviewing enterprise-wide policies and procedures. Awareness of network topologies, servers, network architecture and software desktop. GSEC or CISSP strongly preferred.
