Under the minimal direction of the Dean of Information Technology or designee, the Systems Analyst performs extensive and technical duties, including the design, development and implementation of business processes, databases, forms, and reporting tools. The Systems Analyst will work in coordination and/or consultation with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure project direction, control, follow-up, research, consulting, documentation, system integrity, and training for the District existing and proposed administrative systems.
- A Bachelor's degree (*attach transcripts); AND
- Three (3) years of professional experience with administrative computer systems as an advanced user or an advanced information systems technician; AND
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff
- A Bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, business, research, statistics, economics, computer science, education, social science, or educational psychology
- A Master's degree in applied mathematics, business, research, statistics, economics, computer science, education, social science, or educational psychology
- Three (3) years of professional experience using hardware and software that is alike or similar to Microsoft Office, Colleague MIS, and SQL
- Familiarity with the functionality of the SharePoint software
- Demonstrated experience with:
- student information systems (SIS); specifically Colleague
- document management systems; specifically OnBase
- project management
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop:
- and maintain thorough knowledge of all module functionality and revisions/patches as they are released by vendors or developed internally by Programmer/Analysts
- functional specifications that will be used by programmer/analysts in developing systems and programs
- and participate in executing test plans to ensure applications conform to specifications

- Monitor and maintain administrative components of integration software systems, including, but not limited to, student information system modules, document imaging systems, human resource systems, financial systems, and content management systems
- Analyze software and provide advice to users regarding the decision-making process in the development and implementation of codes, parameters, policy and procedure development and changes, data conversion specifications, pre-printed forms, standards, and reporting needs
- Share acquired knowledge with others in Information Technology as well as District users of the software
- Create and provide documentation as well as assist in the training of users on the functionality of the District's administrative software.
- Analyze various software tools and provide recommendations Lead or assist in tasks for researching, analyzing, designing, developing, testing, implementing, documenting, and sustaining administrative computer systems Perform tasks related to project management and project control; including coordination with Information Technology staff and outside stakeholders Design, prepare and submit a variety of internal and external reports; including compliance reports

- Collaborate with management and staff in the establishment and/or revision of policies and procedures regarding the use of administrative systems and computer applications

- Initial salary placement for this position is from Step 1 to Step 3, depending on the amount of reasonably related experience. This job is a Confidential position (Level 32), working full-time, 40 hours per week, 12-months. The position serves District-Wide; applicants may be assigned to any district facility. Work hours are subject to change depending on department needs.
- A twelve-month probationary period must be successfully completed before the selected candidate is considered a permanent employee of the District. The District provides a contribution towards medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Vacation and sick leave are provided. PERS participation is required for retirement eligible employees. As a condition of employment candidates will be required to complete a live scan for fingerprint clearance and a Tuberculosis (TB) test/Tuberculosis Risk Assessment form developed by the State Department of Public Health.
