Information Technology Associate
Information Technology Associate position requires that you exercise professional judgment while working closely with the faculty, administration, staff, and students to resolve and repair technical/computer related problems on and for the school campus. This position reports directly to the IT Director
Essential Functions:

Excellent social skills working in a school complex environment

Ability to complete both tasks and long-term projects according to a timeline

Assess malfunctions of computer and mobile devices and network hardware, software applications or electronic equipment for the purpose of identifying repair and replacement needs

Manage and maintain network equipment for the purpose of maintaining overall site operations:
-
Network: internet, email, web and print servers, routers, security, wireless access points, etc.

Network users: computers, printers, modems, cabling, servers, routers, hubs, etc., wireless connectivity

Configure school server, peripheral and shared devices (e.g. printers, multimedia components, scanners, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring operational use of computer and iPad applications

Install computer and iPad hardware, peripherals, and application software for the purpose of maintaining overall site operations (classrooms, library, Fab lab, etc.)

Maintain manual and electronic documents, files and records (e.g. preventive maintenance, purchases, inspections, repair logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, conveying information and/or providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail

Understand and consistently research new technologies and anticipates how the school can use them to enhance/replace hardware and software.

Assist users for the purpose of troubleshooting and/or resolving workstation/mobile devices issues

Maintain the technological infrastructure (computers, tablets, etc.) to support the needs of the school

Train school site staff on instructional technology support that maximizes their capabilities

Setup of Audio and Visual equipment for school events
Job Requirements & Necessary Attributes
The usual and customary methods of performing job functions occasionally requires physical demands, such as heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities include: Working independently and with IT Director, following standardized practices and methods; leading, guiding, and coordinating with others
The ideal candidate will have B.S. Degree and/or A.A. in Informational Technology with experience in the following areas desired:

Working in a mixed Windows & Apple Environment

Understanding of basic networking, wifi, dns, dhcp,
-
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory including managing files, folders, permissions, accounts, etc.

Experience with SMART Board hardware and software, or the like
-
Working with Jamf Mobile Device Management Systems
-
Experience with Computrace, online applications/subscriptions
-
Proficient in both Microsoft, Apple, GSuite Word Processing, Presentation, and Spreadsheet Software

Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive)
-
Knowledgeable with Blackbaud/Whipplehill
Experience: 2 or 3 years in the field
Schedule: 8am & 5pm M-F
Salary Scale: Based on experience and certifications
