Training and Information Technician                                 Seattle, WA         

Full Time - salary based on background and experience

The Bush School is in search of an individual to join our Technology team as a Training and Information Technician.  We are looking for a candidate who can support the school’s mission of diversity and inclusion and who has a background that displays and proves an understanding of cultural fluency.  A qualified candidate will be able to manage the key responsibilities and tasks as listed below:

  • Offer large-group, small-group and one-on-one trainings

  • Observe classes and interview end users about technical needs

  • Consult with colleagues to determine audiovisual setup needs

  • Collaborate with nontechnical staff to optimize solutions

  • Allocate, deploy, and maintain end-user devices

  • Organize storage of and access to technology

  • Explain technical concepts and details to end users

  • Resolve technical issues to end users’ satisfaction

  • Ensure the accurate transfer and optimization of student data

  • Oversee technical setups and infrastructure updates

  • Offer process and policy recommendations to management and team members

Successful candidates will have:

  • A passion for educating young people

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to navigate ambiguous situations

  • Experience in educational settings, working with teachers and students

  • Demonstrated initiative and follow-through

  • Experience solving technical problems on a deadline

  • Ability to work in a team and contribute ideas

  • An eagerness to help peers be successful in their work

  • A bachelor’s (or higher) degree related to educational technology
