Technology Support Specialist II
Job Summary |
Savannah State University seeks applicant for Technology Support Specialist. This position serves as tier one support for all PC related instructional and technological problems faculty, staff, and students may encounter at Coastal Georgia Center. Responsibilities include audio visual hardware, and software problems located in classrooms, event spaces and computer labs. Provides timely instructional and technological support through Service Desk requests and by servicing emergency calls; assists in maintaining the on-site functionality of Coastal Georgia Center administrative client computing environment. Provides assistance on type of visual aids to be used and instruction on equipment use; gives technical input on the procurement of equipment and supplies. Performs programming on computer assisted audiovisual equipment; maintains equipment and makes repairs. Transports and sets up audio-visual equipment as requested; assists with problems related to network connectivity, network equipment, video surveillance equipment and Voice Over IP equipment. Provides after hours support as needed; works extended or alternate shifts as required. May be directed to perform job related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. |

Minimum Qualifications |
Four year college degree or a combination of education and experience is required. Strong application and troubleshooting skills required for repair, maintenance, and supporting audiovisual equipment and computer hardware and software; must stay current with technological advances in both software and hardware application (including Apple (MAC) and networking issues. Ability to lift, move or carry 25 pounds or more. A background and/or credit check may be required. |
