Network Technician
Position: Level One Network Technician Important: to Apply see link at end of posting Hiring Expected Date: 12/15/2018 Reports To: Director of Instructional Technology Job Summary: The Level One Network Technician assists with the administration of district local area networks and the installation and maintenance of district technology equipment and infrastructure. Salary: $10 - $17 DOE Application Deadline: Posted until Filled Job Requirements/Qualifications Technology certifications preferred but not required Understanding of diverse computer systems and networks At least three years’ experience with related skills and knowledge of information technology At least three years’ experience in Windows operating systems, and computer troubleshooting and repair At least three years working in the information technology field (in an education setting preferred but not required) Skills necessary for effective and professional communication with information technology staff members, technology vendors, and company personnel Ability to participate and contribute effectively in a team environment Ability to prioritize and manage time and duties efficiently and responsibly Major Duties and Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain company technology equipment, including hardware, software, and associated peripherals Checking computer hardware (HDD, mouse’s, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems Maintain inventory of equipment Perform application-specific support tasks as deemed appropriate by technology department guidelines Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work Assist with the installation and maintenance of local area network cabling according to technology department guidelines and industry standards Assist with the installation and maintenance of network equipment Participate in the hiring and training of information technology staff members Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule Resolve assigned technology help desk tasks Know and follow district policy and technology department processes and guidelines Treat company information in a professional manner Other department-related duties as assigned by the Director of Instructional Technology To Apply To apply to this position, please go to the Middleton School District job center at the following address. https://skyweb.msd134.org/scripts/wsisa.dll/WService=wsSky/rapplmnu03.w Contact Information 208-585-3027 ext. 133 Job Requirements Job Requirements/Qualifications Must have a vehicle to drive from site to site hauling technology equipment when needed. Eligible for mileage reimbursement.
