The Intermediate Project Manager coordinates, plans, supports, and executes IT projects, and promotes the understanding of Project Management principles across the IT organization. Major duties and responsibilities include defining and initiating IT projects, developing and managing project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk management plans, managing the execution and control of assigned projects, and closing out projects to the satisfaction of the customer and ITS. Project assignments are primarily related to intermediate-large scale IT, Customer, and Facilities projects. Other duties include communicating Project Management principles across the IT culture, conducting PM training sessions, and other duties assigned by direct supervisor. |
Required Qualifications |
Bachelor’s degree and Seven+ years of varying IT experience. |
Preferred Qualifications |
PMP or CAPM Certification preferred. Candidates without certification should be able to demonstrate sufficient progress to apply for PMP certification. ( > 3000 hours documented project experience over past 5 years). |
Salary | $66,276 minimum - $94,764 midpoint |
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions |
Must be able to traverse to locations across large campus in a timely manner. This position must be able to lift 50 pounds and work under somewhat adverse conditions at times. Office environment. This position is expected to comply with the University’s standard working hours. In addition, this position must be available outside of normal working hours, including nights and weekends, to complete routine system maintenance, or respond to emergency system outages. |
