Primary Purpose of Position

This position will serve the primary hardware desktop support needs of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Office (VCSA), Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), Center for Wellness Promotion (CWP), Student Health Center (SHC), Student Union (SU), Assist with Housing and Residence Life (HRL), and the Offices of the Dean of Students (DOS). Use Cherwell ticketing system to address higher level issues, deploy devices among the division both Windows and Mac. Deploy software via SCCM and JAMF. Provide remote assistance via multiple remote applications. Communicates with vendors to resolve technical issues. Documents non-routine procedures, workarounds and solutions. Researches emerging technologies associated with supported systems. Plans work with other team members and self as directed by supervisor with independent tasks.

Minimum Education/Experience

Graduation from a two year technical college with a major in computer science, information technology or related area and one year in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or graduation from a four year college or university and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or graduation from a four year college or university with a major in computer science or information technology or related degree. Related information technology experience may be substituted year for year for the required education.

Essential Job Duties

The primary work will involve Desktop support for both hardware and applications. Application support will include not only Enterprise software but also some hosted enterprise systems.

• Active Directory
•  SCCM
• Bomgar
•  JAMF Pro
• Microsoft Office
• Advanced Microsoft permission controls
