Prepare installation, diagnostic procedures, and participate in training other ITSstaff and other related staff.

Administrate and setup applications and maintain environments for the testing of various solutions. Analyze production implementation, identify and resolve errors, ensure ongoing stability of the environment

Provide operating systems administration and support for database servers, including Microsoft SQL Server and ORACLE servers.

Manage the campus server technologies to include network, backup, virtual, and storage systems.

Evaluate hardware and software products for contractual obligations and compatibility

Monitor, support and coordinate system development/changes from the perspective of general systems architecture and integration with the systems across the university and the University of Wisconsin System.

Assist in the development of guidelines, procedures and standards within the department

Prepare project plans and schedules for network systems development, deployment, enhancement, and maintenance efforts 
 
- 
Create and maintain batch processes in MS Powershell and MS DOS to update and maintain systems.
 
- 
Make recommendations and implement changes based on industry recognized best practices.
