IT Director - Data Operations
Data and information are fundamental to the operations of the UVA Health System. The Director Data will be in charge of design development and operation of our data storage and management capabilities including our data warehouse and Big Data technology. The director will serve as a key contact within the organization for both internal and external data requests. They will create a process and manage a team to service these requests and improve our operations.

Direct all aspects of our data operations

Manages raw data and derived information for multiple patient populations

Manages knowledge production pipeline

Models effective communication and collaboration skills / behaviors

Develops and directs appropriate data handling technology.

Supports data requests from internal customers.

Responsible for two-way data interactions with external collaborators vendor

Supports data needs of Health System’s self-service capabilities.

Operates data governance process in conjunction with stakeholders throughout the Health System.

Manages within approved budget

Performs cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested.

Position Compensation Range: $109,116.80 - $174,595.20 Annual
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree must be obtained within 4 years of hire or transfer.

EXPERIENCE: 5 years’ management experience required, database administration or data warehouse management experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require walking some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
