DEGREE AND AREA OF SPECIALIZATION:

Bachelor's degree required.

MINIMUM NUMBER OF YEARS AND TYPE OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 1-2 years in Information Technology (IT) project management required; successful management of large-scale IT projects of moderate to high complexity with both a business and a technology focus preferred. 

Experience with project management tools like Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio and a ticket tracking system like ServiceNow required. 

Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies strongly preferred.

A minimum of seven years' experience required for appointment at the senior level.

A criminal and/or caregiver background check will be conducted.
 

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE:

Project Management certificate strongly preferred. Certification in Lean or Six Sigma strongly preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking an IT Project Manager to join our IT Team. This position will lead, coordinate and collaborate with departmental IT staff and leadership to manage projects through successful implementation.

This position is responsible for managing IT projects for the UW School of Medicine and Public Health Department of Radiology clinical & research faculty, administration and leadership, academic staff, researchers, clinical staff and administrative staff. Project examples include installation and configuration of shared server infrastructure, creation of department and school-wide business analytics dashboards, physician peer review and exam QA for faculty, residents and hospital techs, and creation of faculty continuing education database to track CME credits, ensuring that all projects have timelines and regular review of target dates to complete goals.

This position will report to the Senior Information Processing Consultant, working title IPC Supervisor, and take direction from the IPC Supervisor, the Department Administrator, the Medical Director of Radiology Informatics, Vice Chair of Informatics and Director of Imaging Informatics.
