Robotics Teacher and Coach

‘Iolani School seeks a robotics program coach and instructor for the 2019-20 school year. 

‘Iolani School has developed an innovative and robust Robotics program consisting of a 6-year Upper School sequence of academic courses, nationally and internationally competitive teams, community outreach and a connection to our lower school robotics program. Our current program includes mechanical and electrical engineers, physicists and computer scientists. 

Because of the growth of our programs and number of participating students we are currently looking expand the faculty to robotics instruction. We are looking for a degreed engineer to assist in teach during the curricular day and and coach our after school competition teams. This person should have enthusiasm for STEAM education and working with students from grades 7-12. Technical education and experience in embedded design (arduino, raspberry pi etc), hands on fabrication with CNC equipment and experience with 3D modelling using Onshape, SolidWorks or similar are desired. 

In addition to being an active participant in our vibrant learning community, we are looking for educators who will inspire and support our students. The ideal candidate is dynamic, an organized and strong communicator (both written and oral) and committed to professional growth in their discipline and teaching practice.
