Systems Administrator
Ridgefield Academy, a Preschool – Grade 8 school in Ridgefield, CT, has an opening for a Systems Administrator to start April 2019. Reporting to the Director of the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning, the Systems Administrator will create, deliver, and support operational technology that strengthens and advances the educational mission of the school and provides its administrative offices the systems and support that they need to run effectively.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the continued development and maintenance of Ridgefield Academy’s infrastructure, including, but not limited to, servers, switches, wireless networking, backup systems, telecommunications systems, system imaging processes, inventory of desktop and laptop computers, and all academic-facing technology resources. The Systems Administrator will also provide technical support for Ridgefield Academy/Landmark Preschool’s four campuses.
Candidates should have experience managing technology infrastructure in a K-8 environment. Hands-on experience with macOS, Windows, Chrome-based systems, and Google Suite deployment in an educational setting is greatly preferred, as is familiarity with centralized system imaging and virtualization. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaboratively is vital. Patience, collegiality, and an eagerness to collaborate are qualities that a successful candidate will possess, as is good humor and a willingness to be an active part of the Ridgefield Academy community.
