Job Function |
To provide primary administrative and academic direction, leadership, and control for specific curriculum and programs within the Engineering & Advanced Technology (EAT) area of the Learning Unit, in a manner consistent with established College policies and procedures. Provides leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating initiatives under the direction of the Vice President, and in cooperation with other College units and staff. Serves as a leadership link with employers, feeder schools, and other post secondary institutions. |
Job Responsibilities |
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Provost/Vice President of the Learning Unit SUPERVISION GIVEN: Directs and coordinates the operation of the departments within Engineering & Advanced Technology with the assistance of associate deans, directors, assistants, and other staff assigned. Establishes standards of performance, checks progress of projects and programs, and assists the associate deans in carrying out their assignments. |
Education |
Master’s Degree appropriate to the programs supervised from an accredited institution is required. Earned Doctorate preferred. Transcripts must be submitted with the application. Preliminary Qualifications |
Five (5) years experience in administration or management; demonstrated effective writing and oral communication skills; initiative, leadership, responsiveness, enthusiasm, innovation, contribution, and excellence in performance and teamwork highly desirable. Teaching and/or technical training experience preferred. |

Physical Demands |
Occasional long and irregular hours necessitated by special projects, compliance with deadlines, length of the institutional day and week, and committee service. Some travel involved for liaison and professional activities. |
