Director of Information Technology
Hodges University seeks a Director of Information Technology (IT) to oversee its IT operations and infrastructure on its Naples and Fort Myers Florida campuses. The Director of IT is responsible for the overall operation, management, development, and administration of University technology resources and IT staff for all University locations to include IT support for a number of remote faculty and staff. The Director is also responsible for IT goal and policy development, preparation and development of the IT budget, and technology contract evaluation. These responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:

To ensure that data integrity, network security, and application security are enforced in order to protect the privacy of University and constituent data.

To develop beneficial relationships with University vendors and various software support organizations.

To provide leadership for the University's IT team.

To oversee the timely and effective completion of technology projects and objectives.

To monitor and enforce regular maintenance, upgrades, and updates to IT-managed technology resources.

To oversee planning, budgeting, and purchasing while providing for future infrastructure needs.

To plan for future technology growth and enhancements.
The successful applicant will have a bachelor's degree and substantial coursework in an IT-related discipline (i.e. computer networking, computer engineering, computer programming, etc.). A master's degree is preferred. Previous experience as a supervisor in an IT department is strongly preferred. The ability to successfully lead a high-performing team while providing strategic input to the University's administration while also collaborating with colleagues to improve the efficiency of daily operations through technology is required.
