Design Thinking and Technology Teacher
All Saints’ Episcopal Day School, in Central Phoenix, is seeking a middle school Design Thinking and Technology teacher, beginning in August of 2019. The candidate for this full-time position will join an exceptional and talented faculty and will work with students who are bright, motivated, and engaging. The position is responsible for managing and growing the Design Thinking curriculum as well as implementing the curriculum using a variety of methodologies with students in grades five through eight.

Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree
-
Minimum of two years of teaching experience in a K–8 setting or comparable experience

Experience with a learning management system

Effective classroom management skills

Demonstration of strong leadership and organizational ability

Outstanding oral and written communication skills

Familiarity with inquiry-based learning, and design-thinking process

Effective interpersonal skills to work with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Commitment to a continuous process for professional growth
Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and experience with the above listed four major curriculum units and tools

Ability to utilize technology-related standards and initiatives (ISTE, AZ State, Next Gen Science)

Experience in managing a Makerspace (safety, materials, budget, and maintenance)

Experience with FIRST Robotics
- Experience with both PC and Mac OS software
