Technical Support Specialist
Our outstanding faculty, staff, and administration are heavily invested in technology, and we are looking to add a Technical Support Specialist to our team. The ideal candidate will bring a positive, solutions-oriented attitude to supporting the technology needs of our community.
Responsibilities

Investigate, diagnose and resolve user-level problems for a mixed Mac, iOS and Windows environment.

Respond to electronic help tickets and answer help desk chat and phone calls.

Provide network and printer support.

Act as consultant and subject matter expert for teachers and faculty needing training and guidance on software application like Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Adobe CC, and various other desktop, mobile, and cloud-based apps.

Set up, maintain and be on call to troubleshoot A/V systems for special events, sometimes after hours.

Assist the Network and Server Administrator in the maintenance of the network, databases, web servers, and other server-based systems.

Create and maintain scripts and in-house applications to automate tasks.

Write and maintain technical documentation.
Desired Skills:

Strong familiarity with Information Technology and highly developed instincts with computer systems.

Excellent Mac troubleshooting skills.

Experience with Windows and iOS troubleshooting.

Comfort with a command line interface.

Basic understanding of Linux and Windows server administration.

Basic network administration and troubleshooting skills.
-
Experience developing scripts or web, desktop, or mobile applications.

Outstanding follow-through, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Ability to triage and prioritize incoming requests.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Patience, kindness and a customer service oriented attitude
