DESCRIPTION
The Director provides leadership to the LionPATH Development and Maintenance Office (LDMO). The LDMO provides specialized and functional support for Penn State’s student administrative system, PeopleSoft’s Campus Solutions. Responsibilities include: efficient operation of the student administrative system supporting Admissions, Advising, Registrar, Bursar, Financial Aid, and other core student service areas; planning for system improvements; working with the appropriate governance committees and Penn State IT on setting strategic direction, priorities and needs; ensuring business operations support is provided efficiently, accurately and on time; providing administrative supervision of staff; and selecting and overseeing the work of appropriate consulting services. This position will report to the Senior Director for Enterprise Projects. This position has accountability for successful on-time, on-budget completion of the LDMO activities and operational support for LionPATH. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master’s degree and experience working in higher education, student administrative systems, and management experience with increasing levels of responsibility is preferred. The successful candidate must be able to operate on a strategic level and demonstrate appropriate awareness of the requirements and motivations of administration, customers and vendors. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders’ needs; bring diverse audiences together to meet common goals; exhibit a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion; have demonstrated ability to successfully organize and lead large complex projects; and demonstrate proven ability to influence and lead skilled functional and technical teams. This position requires the capacity to originate change, impact results and foster a continuous quality improvement environment, as well as the ability to effectively work with faculty and staff at all levels of the organization. Effective communication skills are essential to success in this role.
