The Technology Solutions Analyst will support the strategy to optimize the value of enterprise application services and products by improving existing services, or deploying new services and support models, which meet the greater and most common campus collaboration, productivity and utility needs. 

 

This role will serve in an operational and project-based capacity focusing on commercially available products, mainly software as a service, enterprise platforms and solutions.

 

You will…

  • Coordinate people and processes to ensure projects are scoped, documented and delivered on-time with the desired results.  You will be the go-to person for project organization and timeline. 

  • Proactively evaluate existing offerings and technologies against vendor product roadmaps, competing products, requests for new products and market trends in order to meet current and future campus needs.

  • Work with customer stakeholders/advisory groups, vendors and internal teams in assessing, analyzing, architecting and deploying solutions and products to align and scale with the University.  Drive improvements in efficiency and quality through cost-effective delivery models and support processes.

  • Understand customers business problems or needs and interpret into scope and deliverables.  Drive adoption of out-of-box features/functionality when applicable.

  • Provide education and knowledge which will enable Customers to become more proficient. 

  • Develop project and solution deployment metrics which demonstrate progress and areas of improvement.

  • Provide business process analysis, workflows, documentation that facilitate and drive conversation and decisions.

  • Lead the development of tools to track projects and solution deployments that can be used across the portfolio. 

 

You should have…

  • Experience architecting, configuring and supporting enterprise application software.

  • Experience with cloud products, data integrations, business analysis and project management.

  • Experience leading or managing complicated, large-scale IT projects/assignments.

  • Experience developing and carrying out structured plans, tracking and communicating progress.

  • Experience interacting with customers and stakeholders at all levels of the university.

 

Preference in…

  • Cloud, Software as a Service, Enterprise Application Platforms

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with project management/coordination, architecture, design and management of enterprise software, preferably cloud-based services and vendor packaged “off the self” configurable solutions. 

  • Desired experience as a lead or project manager in deployment of enterprise applications / platforms and services such as Student Information Systems, Document Management, Administrative software packages or CRMs. 

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Business and Application analysis

  • Application lifecycle management for enterprise vendor packaged configurable solutions

  • Working knowledge/understanding of cloud offerings (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)

  • Understanding infrastructure components necessary to manage or integrate on-premises and cloud offerings, AWS experience a plus

  • Ability to formulate plans, build and organize documentation, maintaining consistency and quality across projects

  • Experience in eliciting and documenting both business and technical requirements

  • Experience in root cause analysis and problem resolution

  • Experience in data collection, analysis and synthesis across multiple groups and presenting results and metrics

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, situations and demands

  • Effectively manage multiple tasks with often competing priorities, maintaining consistency, organization and with close attention to detail

  • Effective communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
