Computer Science, Engineering and Design teacher
Friends Seminary seeks an enthusiastic and innovative educator to lead educational programs in Computer Science, Engineering, and Design. The Upper School Computer Science, Engineering and Design teacher will be responsible for introductory and advanced courses in computer programming, physical computing, robotics, web design, app design, and more. This role also includes collaborating with teachers in other disciplines who wish to incorporate computing, coding, design thinking, or engineering into their curriculum. Additional responsibilities include leadership for relevant student clubs, organizational and creative support of the annual ‘Maker Day’ event, and participation in the ongoing growth and development of STEM programs school wide. Most faculty also serve as Advisor to a small group of US students.
Responsibilities

Develop and oversee the Upper School Computer Science, Engineering, and Design curriculum

Teach required and elective computer science and/or engineering classes

Work with LS and MS Computer Science and Technology teachers to coordinate, implement, and evaluate technology and computer science curriculum across three divisions

Serve as an advisor to a small group of US students

Work collaboratively with other Computer Science, Engineering, and Design teachers to manage and support the School’s evolving program spaces

Required Education
Bachelors Degree, Masters highly preferred
