Technology Teacher
Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Technology faculty member for the 2020-2021 school year. Experience teaching Advanced Placement is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record focusing on computer programming and technology and successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities include:

Teach Middle and Upper School Technology courses (including Introduction to Computer Programming, CAD drawing / Google Sketchup, and Web Design). Teaching experience of AP Computer Science A and/or AP Computer Science Principles is a plus.

Assist students with technology-related questions or concerns

Assist the Technology Staff with operating the auditorium audio/visual booth

Continue to develop and implement the school’s technology integration plan for the academic curriculum in both divisions

Develop and implement ongoing programs to foster responsible digital citizenship among students in grades 6-12

Serve as an Advisor in the student Advisory Program

Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will possess:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is required; Master’s and Doctoral degree holders will receive additional consideration, as will those with previous teaching experience; MSDE certification preferred

Experience teaching in an independent school setting preferred

An openness to learn and a passion to implement new technologies in the classroom as Maryvale is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) school with a robust Learning Management System (LMS).
