Brookwood School seeks an innovative and motivated Changemaker Coordinator and Technology Integration and Support Specialist to join the Technology Department beginning in the 2020-2021 school year.
Ideal Experience and Characteristics
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology integration in elementary and middle schools. He or she will be familiar with makerspace tools including 3D printers, laser cutters, and a wide range of hand tools. The candidate will be conversant in 3D modeling software and other digital fabrication tools, AR/VR software, and digital learning platforms such as Google Classroom. The Changemaker Coordinator will possess strong communication and relationship building skills and the ability to take initiative to grow both the Changemaking and Technology Integration programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Makerspace
- Maintaining and provisioning the equipment including 3D printers, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, VR glasses and robotics
- Creates opportunities for students and adults to engage with physical, hands-on learning and project design in and out of scheduled technology lessons
Technology Integration

Collaborate with teachers across grades and disciplines to integrate technology in meaningful ways in their curriculum

Share innovative technologies to broaden the possibilities accessible to students

Build teacher independence and capacity in technology

Create documentation, curriculum, and learning materials to support students and faculty
Technology Instruction

As part of the Technology Department, design and deliver weekly technology lessons to a variety of grades 2-8.

Spiral topics including coding, digital citizenship, media creation and literacy, and productivity tools across the grades

Create transformative experiences through hands-on technology with a focus on robotics and coding, digital fabrication, and AR/VR
Technology Support

As a part of the Technology Department, manage GSuite and other software including automated form workflows, chrome device management, and student accounts

Troubleshoot hardware issues

Maintain the Technology Department’s responsive and welcoming culture
