Upper School Computer Science Teacher
Castilleja School seeks an Upper School Computer Science teacher for a long-term replacement (January 19 to March 19 or beyond)

Our school is committed to fostering interest in Computer Science, and preparing girls to undertake advanced Computer Science coursework and pursue careers in the field. We seek applicants with passion and deep knowledge in Computer Science, and a determination to increase the representation of women in Computer Science majors and careers.
We are seeking a teacher with experience or interest in teaching the following courses:
- Introduction to Computer Science in Java
- Advanced Topics in Computer Science: Object-Oriented Problem Solving and Design in Java
Classroom Teaching
- Teach predefined Java content and curriculum to 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders.
- Work in coordination with the Director of the Computer Science Department to create projects
- In coordination with the Director of Computer Science, use predefined standards to provide assessments for each student.
Qualifications
- Prior Computer Science teaching experience is preferred
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or similar technology-related discipline
