Director of Information Technology
Friends Select School is a 550-student, co-educational, pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, college preparatory, independent school located in Center City Philadelphia. The school carries out its mission in a manner reflective of the spiritual and social testimonies of the Religious Society of Friends.
Friends Select School seeks a director of information technology to facilitate and manage both the strategic and operational administrative and academic IT services and initiatives of the school. The director of information technology sits on the school’s administrative council. The start date is February/March.
Applicants for this position should have a BA or MA in a computer-related field; a minimum of five years experience in a director’s position; experience in supervision and maintenance of a school or company’s technology systems; strong microcomputer, networking, application, training and troubleshooting background; proven planning, program development, budgeting, implementation and evaluation skills; a background in working with a wide range of business and academic programs; self-motivated, well-organized team player with strong communication skills; and demonstrated ability to lead administrators, staff and students in a school or company environment.
