Network Administrator
The Network Administrator’s role is to manage aspects of network administration such as servers,
desktop systems, network hardware/software, and technical support for faculty and staff.
The Network Administrator will report to the Director of Technology and coordinate all efforts
with the Technology Department when providing administrative and academic technology
support and services to faculty and students in both physical and virtual learning spaces.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field.
• Experience in supporting computer networks within an educational institution that is
multi-platform (Windows and Macs).
• Excellent organizational, independent, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a team-oriented and collaborative
environment.
• Knowledgeable about maintaining and supporting various aspects of school networks
(e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, and servers).
Primary Responsibilities:
• Work with System Technician to create and oversee network accounts for staff, faculty,
and students.
• Assist with Helpdesk emails, Blackbaud, and Follett technical issues.
• Work with System Technician to maintain the integrity of the school's network (e.g.
routers, switches, firewalls, and servers) as needed.
• Identifying causes of operating errors and determine solutions and preventive measures.
• Creating and maintaining current documentation of our network infrastructure.
• Perform weekly network maintenance and inform community of the date and time of the
maintenance.
• Troubleshooting problems with servers, networks, and web services.
• Efficiently and effectively resolving work orders assigned in the help desk.
• Providing backups of all critical data and regularly testing these backups.
• Managing disaster preparedness planning.
• Coordinate and implement network security measures to ensure protection of resources.
• Completing special projects assigned by the Director of Technology

• This position will require working evenings and weekends when necessary.
