Founded in 1963 by the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart, Grey Nun Academy is the Catholic, independent co-educational elementary school in Bucks County, PA for children in grades PreK3 through Eighth grade. The Academy offers an academically rich curriculum that meets the unique needs of individual students, respecting the rights, interests, and dignity of each child. GNA welcomes children of all faiths and cultures. The school's educational process leads children to embrace and promote peace and social justice in our world.
We seek a diverse pool of applicants for a full time library/media specialist/learning center position for the 2015 – 2016 school year. This position is an integral part of GNA's instructional program. In order to accomplish this, you are a teacher, an information and media literacy specialist, and an instructional consultant. The vision is to build a place to collaborate and be the "go to" person regarding troubleshooting as well as facilitating the integration of technology into the classroom to enhance learning.
The qualified candidate would be MLS or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution; recent graduates are welcome to apply; experience in the Pre-K – 8th grade setting is preferred. The ideal candidate would have strong research and organizational skills, media and information literacy, and integration of electronic resources. Professional development, leadership, strong collegiality, and positive impact on school life are qualities we seek in our faculty.
