Campbell Hall, founded in 1944 and situated on a 15-acre campus in North Hollywood, California, is an independent, co-educational, college preparatory, Episcopal day school for students in kindergarten through grade 12. The elementary school division includes grades K-6 and is composed of approximately 340 students and 45 full- and part-time faculty and coaches.

Position Description:
The elementary technology teacher and integration specialist develops and creates curriculum that reflects innovative technology and learning and meets with classroom teachers to coordinate integrated projects. The specialist works both in the technology lab as well as in individual classrooms with the students and teachers.
The specialist is responsible for the identification, development and implementation of educational instructional strategies and technologies used to support and enrich teaching and learning. The specialist will provide engaging curriculum for students in addition to professional development workshops and peer collaboration opportunities for faculty in grades K-6. The specialist must also be skilled in adapting to different classroom management styles and working collaboratively within a team environment. This is a full-time position, reporting directly to the elementary principal.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with faculty to identify academic needs and appropriate pedagogical strategies for using instructional resources and technology in the classroom
Provide leadership, expertise, and creativity to encourage and equip teachers to identify and implement appropriate classroom technologies, which will improve teaching and learning
Remain cutting edge by engaging in personal professional development
Provide professional development opportunities for faculty focusing on diverse uses of technology in the classroom
Work with the Director of Technology to integrate emerging and existing technologies, as appropriate, into instruction and operation within the classroom
Be proficient using Apple/ PC products as well as desktops, laptops and iPads
Attend the computer science lab department meetings as well as relevant elementary meetings (division, primary and intermediate)
Write narratives, default comments and progress reports
Communicate with classroom teachers about student behavior and academic progress
Work morning and afternoon carpool duties
Incorporate all areas of technology- word processing, movie making, game design, robotics, programming, coding, typing, information literacy, digital citizenship, etc…into curriculum
Assist students in 4th grade and new 5th and 6th grade students setting up their email and Google accounts
Required Qualifications:
At least 3 years technology experience preferably in a school setting
Patience and creativity when working collaboratively with a range of constituent groups, including students, families, faculty, staff and administration from diverse backgrounds (religious, ethnic, socio-economic, etc.)
Strength in both written and oral methods of communication
Demonstrated ability to use a variety of technologies through coursework, workshop participation, and completed projects and products
Proficiency with technology to include: word processing, spreadsheets, SmartBoards, iPads, and the Haiku Learning Management System
Proficient with Windows and Apple operating systems and common audio/visual equipment effectively
Ability to evaluate software, make recommendations, support learning and curriculum alignment, develop effective lessons, and provide professional development to faculty
Strength in composing kind, concise and thoughtful electronic communications
