General Responsibilities
Network Administration
-Maintain all workstations on campus, including staff and student computer labs
-Manage and maintain LAN and Wi-Fi
Application Systems Administration
-Blackbaud Student Information System
-Various academic applications
-Internet and data usage reporting
Phone System Administration
-Maintain Nortel system, including adding and deleting user extensions, DIDs, etc
-Maintain all connections – T1, PRI
Website
-Manage the hosting relationship
-Help coordinate information updates on a regular basis
-Manage A, MX, CNAME, TXT, SRV records
Planning
-Annual maintenance and 5 year plan
-Develop network infrastructure, hardware, connectivity
Miscellaneous
-All technical related service calls for printers, fax machines, multi-media equipment
-Sound system technical capabilities are a plus

There are over 125 desktop computers, 7 laptop carts (25\each), 4 computer labs (25\each) and 25 laptops for Faculty and Staff, 12 virtual servers, 10 layer 2 switches and 30 wireless APs
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in Information Technology/ Computer Science; extensive knowledge of server technology, LAN, computer system infrastructure; excellent verbal communication skills; impeccable organization and management skills.
The IT Director plays an important role at Pinecrest. This position supports all aspects of technology while ensuring the operation and usability of Pinecrest technological resources.
