STEAM Coordinator

Notre Dame Preparatory School, a Catholic college prep school for girls in Towson, Maryland, seeks a full-time science teacher to coordinate its STEAM Program and to teach introductory and intermediate engineering and physics classes. Among the job responsibilities of the STEAM Coordinator are: directing the STEAM Certificate Program working and collaborating with ML STEAM Coordinator, moderating the Architecture/Engineering Club and ACE Competition Team, developing engineering summer internships, utilizing state-of-the-art engineering equipment, and keeping pace with advancements in the field in order to continually promote and develop the STEAM Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record in science with a major in physics, engineering, or related field. High school teaching experience is preferred. The Department’s philosophy emphasizes student-centered, hands-on learning as well as a solid presentation of course concepts using a variety of instructional methods. Notre Dame Preparatory School is a one to one laptop school; the ideal candidate will encompass the skills and knowledge to effectively utilize and integrate technology into the engineering curriculum.
