User Support Specialist
Note: The User Support Specialist is a temporary position available immediately

Wage: hourly; commensurate with experience and qualifications
Hours: flexible part-time, 25 hours/week
Job Summary
The User Support Specialist (USS) delivers the front-line IT Service Center support to Lake Forest Country Day School employees, students, and other stakeholders 25 hours/week in rotation with other IT Department members and provides back-up support as needed. The USS answers service center phone calls, responds to support emails and in-person requests, resolving and documenting incidents and problems or escalating to others as appropriate. The USS assists with the configuration, maintenance, and repair of end-user workstations. The USS maintains the IT hardware, software, and supplies inventories and assists with other departmental duties as requested. The USS reports to the Director of Information Technology and coordinates closely with other members of the IT Department.
Key Responsibilities
Provide in-person, email, and telephone support to end users
Troubleshoot and resolve end-user PC hardware and software issues
Troubleshoot printers, cameras, projectors, and other peripherals
Create and maintain technical and support documentation
Knowledge and Skills
Required
Experience repairing and troubleshooting basic PC hardware and software problems
Experience with Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 10
Experience with Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills
Can interface with all age groups
Preferred
Experience with Basic TCP/IP networking
CompTIA A+ certified
Education
High school or equivalent
