Technology Support and Digital Specialist In addition to providing level-one tech support for the entire Brooklyn Friends School community, the Tech. Specialist will be responsible for managing the school’s digital archives and data backups, as well as the Lower, Middle, and Upper School iPad cart programs. They will work in conjunction with the network manager to deploy and maintain audio visual equipment throughout the school’s Pearl Street, Lawrence Street, and Schermerhorn Street locations, and be tasked with monitoring and administering the school’s CUPS print servers. Working closely with the head of the Technology Department, they will also work to maintain the network infrastructure and administer the school’s Google domain.
The candidate must have enough computer fluency to be able to learn new programs quickly, and address problems as they arise in real time. A high level of organizational skill is necessary as the specialist will be delineating and executing long term projects independently. Strong oral and written skills will be mandatory. The candidate must have the intrapersonal skills necessary to provide patient and friendly support. Fluency in Google Docs, Microsoft Office, Chrome OS, Windows, and Mac OS is essential. Bachelor’s Degree and technical support experience necessary.
