Léman Manhattan Preparatory School seeks a Technology Coach. The LMPS technology coach helps define and develop the role of technology in the classroom as it supports and promotes the mission of the school. She/he contributes to an environment that encourages creative and independent use of instructional technology throughout the school by modeling effective use of current and new instructional technology inside and outside the classroom for teachers, their students, and families. The tech coach instructs users in the appropriate uses of technology in an educational environment and designs, coordinates and provides instructional technology in-service opportunities for faculty and staff.

Based on current best practices in the field of tech integration, the tech coach will provide services which improve the educational experience of all students and increasing the capacity of LMPS faculty and staff to meet the students’ needs.

She/he will be responsible for modeling instruction in the classroom by working with groups and/or individual students; providing material and resources for teachers, students and parents to enrich the curriculum; demonstrating techniques for extending the curriculum content, as well as providing professional development. She/he will be the point of contact for service delivery and student programming.

Candidates should be collaborative team players and possess a flexible attitude and a healthy sense of humor.

Performance Responsibilities:
• Teaching responsibilities include co-teaching with homeroom teams and specialists, leading specific content-related weeks, such as Digital Citizenship workshops, Hour of Code week, etc. with students, faculty and families;
• Conduct and assist with in-service training for LMPS faculty and staff, as well as parent workshops using school-wide platforms, including Haiku and Skyward;
• Oversee use, security, updates and maintenance of all technology equipment in the division, including laptops, iPads, SMARTboards, applications, etc.
• Submit resource materials to be considered for the annual school budget;
• Comply with and support LMPS school-wide and division regulations and policies, including the education of and compliance with the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) rollout to students each year in conjunction with the administration;
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

• Experience with MacOS, iOS, and practical knowledge of mainstream educational software applications
• Ability to support faculty in the use of technology in the classroom
• Clear articulation of technology goals in curricular unit planning and in project integration
• Strong collaboration skills, as well as the ability to be a self starter, looking ahead to propose upcoming projects, and work independently with minimal oversight
• Excellent interpersonal relations skills: being a good listener, a curious and creative problem solver, and possessing solid written and oral communication skills
• Healthy work ethic
