Stone Ridge is seeking a Lower School Educational Technologist to fill a maternity leave to begin August 8, 2016 to November 18, 2016.
Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a co-educational Early Childhood Program, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten. With over 700 students and rooted in the Goals of Sacred Heart education, Stone Ridge inspires young women to lead and serve, through lives of purpose that integrate faith, intellect, community, social action, and personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom.
The Lower School Educational Technologist provides leadership to the Lower School in the development of the School’s educational technology program in alignment with the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education. Working closely with the Director of Educational Technology & Innovation, and with the Middle School and Upper School Educational Technologists, s/he implements strategic and programmatic initiatives and models engagement with relevant trends. S/he works collaboratively and leads faculty in one-to-one and small group settings in the integration of hardware, software, applications, and online resources into a dynamic and rigorous academic program. S/he provides support to teachers and students in the development of related skills and supporting co-curricular initiatives. As a member of the Lower School Faculty, s/he attends all faculty and employee meetings and participates in all activities and duties in the Lower School.
The ideal candidate has experience in independent and/or Catholic school and possesses a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. S/he exhibits a passion for and love of adult education and is familiar with trends in educational technology and social media; experience in coding and computer science are welcome skills. S/he demonstrates a collaborative spirit, a good sense of humor, excellent communication skills, and flexibility.
