Job Description

The Adelson School seeks a full-time Computer Science Director and Technology Education Leader to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching computer science and technology to middle and high school students, developing curricula and new courses, managing relationships with U.S. colleagues and Israeli schools, leading collaborative projects, and overseeing programs using management experience in education or high-tech industry.

This is an opportunity for someone who possesses the following skills and attributes:

● Strong Leadership Skills: The candidate will need to manage programs and lead collaborative projects between schools in different countries.

● Excellent Communication: The candidate must effectively build and maintain relationships with students and colleagues in the U.S. and Israel.

● Curriculum Development Expertise: The candidate will possess the ability to design, refine, and introduce new courses in technology.

● Technical Proficiency: The candidate must possess a solid background in computer science and technology to effectively teach and oversee course content.

● Problem-Solving Abilities: The candidate must be able to manage various tasks in hightech or educational settings and will require the ability to navigate challenges and find innovative solutions.

● Adaptability: The candidate should be able to adjust to evolving educational and technological trends, as well as diverse student needs.

Key responsibilities

● Teach computer science and technology courses to middle and high school students.

● Develop and refine curricula, and introduce new courses in the field of technology.

● Build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues in the U.S. within the same field.

● Foster connections with schools in Israel and lead collaborative projects between American and Israeli students.

● Utilize management experience in education or the high-tech industry to oversee programs effectively.

Qualifications

● Ten years of management experience in the high-tech industry and/or education.

● Five years of teaching experience.

● A degree in computer science engineering from a recognized and reputable university, foreign degree accepted.

● A master’s degree in education in the field of science and technology.

● Fluent in reading and writing Hebrew.
