Director of Technology
St. Rose High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school LOCATED IN Belmar, NJ, is currently seeking a Director of Technology.
The Director of Technology is responsible to:
Ensure the implementation of Catholic values in a digital environment
Oversee the on-going implementation of the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Provide visionary leadership for emerging technology trends including hardware, software and teaching strategies
Coordinate and oversee the Technology Department staff who are responsible for various aspects of educational technology
Develop and oversee the three year technology plan
Assist the administration in evaluating the technology strengths and areas that need growth for the teachers and students for the future
Facilitate on-going technical support to classroom teachers
Explore and apply for corporate grants, funding and community sponsorship to increase the availability of funding for technology growth
Guide teachers and students in safe Internet practices
Maintain proper documentation for software licenses and inventory
Oversee assigned projects and/or program components (e.g. grant tracking, training facility inventory, electronic lesson plan database, teacher survey, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of information and/or materials and delivering services in compliance with established guidelines and mandated requirements.
Teach computer science courses as needed.
Oversee the Technology Club, school TV-Station and announcements, and the Technology Honor Society.
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess:
A master's degree in instructional technology; candidates with a bachelor's degree and appropriate education and work-related experience will be considered.
