STEAM Teacher

Eton School, an independent school in Bellevue WA that commits to educate the whole child intellectually, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually. Eton Upper Elementary and Middle School is seeking a collaborative, passionate science/math teacher who will teach one section of sixth grade science and collaborate with 4th-8th grade teachers to offer classes in engineering, technology, art and design. There is also the unique opportunity to develop working spaces and resources.

Primary responsibilities include:

Teach one section of sixth grade science and/or math
Work collaboratively with a strong team of elementary and middle school educators to integrate technology, engineering and design
Co-teach a fifth grade math class
Interact with Eton community and actively cultivate positive relationships
Duties applicable to Eton faculty
Required Skills Qualifications and Experience:

Competence in middle school science, math, and technology
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science-related field required
Teaching certification preferred
Ability to work with diverse population of elementary and middle school students
Ability to create an active learning environment that supports understanding, passion and creativity in students
Excellent communication skills
Experience working in educational environment
