Technology Support Coordinator
Walnut Hill School for the Arts seeks a Technology Support Coordinator. This position reports to the Director of Technology. The purpose of this position is to maintain the desktops, servers, and network equipment on campus and to support the faculty, staff, and students that use them.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Providing desktop support for approximately 100 faculty and staff. Operating systems include OS X (10.6+), Windows 7, and Windows 8.
- Managing Help Desk Ticket queue and responding to requests in person and over the phone.
- Maintain the integrity and security of all network equipment including servers, desktops, and printers
- Assist faculty, staff, and students with technical problems, questions, and requests.
- Assisting students with issues connecting to our wireless network and providing limited support for other student computing needs.
- Audio-Visual set-ups as necessary.
- Coordinate repairs with outside vendors.
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Design and teach an elective course in computer science.
- Other essential tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
3 years prior experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues as well as Windows System Administration
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
Experience imaging and deploying PCs and Macs
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to lift 20 pounds
Ability to spend much time on their feet
Experience with ShoreTel Phones, Cisco switches and firewalls a plus
Preference will be given to a candidate with the ability to teach a semester elective in computer science.
Job hours will be 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM and some flexibility will be required throughout the school year. Salary commensurate with experience.
